Lightrooms
performance with Manon Quérel - 2015-2017
The performance Lightrooms was created with Manon Quérel. On a ring, with the audience divided on either side and equipped with headphones, adults played children's games with the utmost serious and sometimes violently. An athletic and random choreography emerged, generated by the rules of the games and the will to win.
Through the headphones, a dystopian story was told in snippets: light has been banned; in basements, illegal parties are organised where bodily energy produces electricity; neon lights crackle, generating magnetic sounds. A mix of playground fight club, science fiction, and sound experimentation…
